For painful knee arthritis which can not be managed non-operatively I perform knee replacement surgery. Prior to embarking on knee replacement I will provide information about alternative treatments to allow you to make an informed decision.

Fitness training and sport are essential to the physical and psychological well-being of many of my patients. Some knee injuries require time and rehabilitation, others may need surgery. One of my particular areas of expertise is Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction.

Years of hard work, involvement in sport or previous injury/surgery can damage the lining cartilage of the knee. In order to prevent this wear and tear progressing to arthritis requiring  joint replacement it is sometimes helpful to alter knee alignment. This can be achieved with an operation called an osteotomy.
